How to Find Stokes County Sex Offender Information

The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and updating a registry of sex offenders in the county. To locate or obtain information on sex offenders in the county, interested persons can make inquiries at the Sheriff's Office or conduct a statewide online search on the offender registry managed by the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation.

The search can be done based on the offender's name, city/street address, sex registration number, and a map location (longitude and latitude). How do I Visit an Inmate in Stokes County Jail?

Individuals who wish to see an inmate in the Stocks County Jail can only do so through video visitation. The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office is charged with supervising all jail operations and has inmate visitation policies and conditions which must be strictly adhered to before visitation requests are granted. These include:

  • To visit an inmate, requesters need to create an account with the accepted visitation system
  • Visitors must schedule the visit at least 24 hours in advance
  • Visitors must have good internet service on the day of visitation
  • Visiting hours for female inmates are Saturdays Only 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 pm

What are Stokes County Court Records?

Stokes County court records are files and documents concerning civil and criminal cases that are held in the county's District or Superior Courts.
