Interested parties who wish to obtain Brunswick County arrest records and police reports can do so by completing an online record request form and providing as much information as possible to locate the desired record. The Brunswick Sheriff's Office does not charge the public for a copy of a report. A response should be ready within ten business working days. Onsite visitation starts from 9:00 A.M. to 7:35 P.M. on Sunday through Monday. Inmates are allowed to have one onsite visit in a week, starting over on Sunday. The onsite visitation is available every day, including weekends and holidays. The visits are limited to 20 minutes and are typically scheduled online or by calling (910) 253-2842 on Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Inmates are permitted to have only one visit per week; visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. The visitation week starts every Sunday and cannot be scheduled sooner than 14 days in advance. For an inmate that attempts to obtain more than one onsite visit in a week, the next week's visit will be lost as a result. In cases where more than one visitor comes for a time slot, just one person will be required to schedule the visit, but they must be present for a visit.

For the safety and protection of Brunswick County inmates, the detention facility staff, family, and friends, some rules are provided to guide visitations that take place at the facility, and they include:
