Where and How to Get Public Yadkin County Marriage Records

The office of the Register of Deeds maintains a database of Yadkin County marriage records dating back to 1850. Interested persons may submit a request for Yadkin County marriage certificates online, via mail, or by visiting the Register's office in person during regular work hours. In-person and mail-in requests involve completing a vital record request form with the marriage date and the spouses' names. Furthermore, the requester must attach a valid, government-issued photo ID along with the completed form. Acceptable IDs include a driver's license, state ID, or US passport. Alternatively, parties can provide any two of the following documents: a recent utility bill, car registration, bank statement, paystub, or income tax return. Note that the address on these substitutes must be consistent with the application address.

Besides the ID requirements, the requester must also attach payment for the associated processing fees. A certified copy of a marriage record costs $10 and $0.15 for an uncertified copy. These fees are payable by certified bank checks, money orders, business checks, cash, debit cards, or credit cards.

The Register of Deeds is the record custodian for Yadkin County birth records. Interested members of the public can obtain uncertified copies of birth records, but only authorized persons may obtain certified copies of birth records.
